Pre-Primary Montessori Blended Course (PPMBC)
Over years, IIMS has been getting requests on a training program that will serve the needs of those who are unable to attend its regular, face-to-face training program, both from trainee teachers and schools. We have also noted the intention of the Indian universities to encourage online and blended programs in teacher education. With the intention of equipping ourselves to meet both these needs, IIMS is announcing its PPMBC.
The content of the course remains true to the principles and practices of the time-tested Montessori method. Along with it, new processes such as online discussions of topics, case studies, anecdotes, components of self-assessment and material making are all included to enrich the learning experience.
PPMBC is totally based on the Montessori Method even for adults for it allows the trainees autonomy in managing their learning. At the same time, it also has a clear structure and expectations of responsibility. We are sure our trainees will find that we have ‘enabled inspired learning’, as our teachers are expected to do with children.
